Embedding an Ethical Culture
Task: BAE Systems decided that global best practice demanded the creation and introduction of its first-ever global code of conduct, to demonstrate its coherent approach to ethical behaviour and commitment to communicating and embedding it throughout the company.
What we did: In 2008, Open Road was brought in to work with BAE Systems internal communications team to develop and deliver a comprehensive phased internal communications campaign to launch, explain, educate and embed the principles of the new Code to more than 100,000 employees across the globe.
Subsequent internal employee surveys demonstrated a high degree of awareness of the ethical standards expected of BAE Systems people and confidence in the right of employees to raise concerns in a culture of fairness and respect.
