Delicious Development

image

Delicious has had a tasty revamp (you can expect more inexpertly placed puns) to update it for the Twitter era.

For those who don’t know what delicious is, it’s a social bookmarking site that allows you to tag and save web pages that are interesting/annoying/useful. Then you can share these pages with others or browse pages bookmarked by other people. So it’s like making your favourites folder public online.

In the past, Delicious’ home page had a Popular bookmarks tab where you could browse the most saved pages on the site. But with the growth of link sharing on Twitter, Delicious have added a ‘Fresh Bookmarks’ page which aims to be newsy -telling you what pages are being tagged and tweeted at the moment.

So far the fresh page is good, although there might be a few improvements to be made (e.g. duplication of stories). But all in all it looks like another good tool for digesting and filtering the wealth of online content being generated. And one that might allow you to be ahead of the curve every so often.

Of course the best way to filter online content would be to have a look at our Delicious pages, onto which only the most insightful and fascinating online content is posted. Yum.
