So, this is where we’re supposed to do a comprehensive and informative round up of the news for the last month. But it’s the Olympics! I can’t think of any other news! It’s too exciting!
So, without further ado, please find a roundup of my three best Olympic moments of the Games so far:
3. Boris gets stuck on a zipwire.
There is nothing not to love about this story. My particular favourite part is the way he waves his flags around on his slow descent before grinding to a halt above Victoria Park.
This melted my cynical little heart. I officially now love Chad Le Clos’s father and his overexcited and fabulously proud reaction to his son’s gold.
1. Heather Stanning and Helen Glover’s gold
As someone who’s not overly sporty, I can’t remember the last time I shouted at the tele for something that wasn’t PMQs. This was ACE. Definitely the top Olympic story of the Games so far, and a great one for the girls.
So, there you have it. This is a round up of my top three Olympic moments so far. To be fair, not much else happened in July. It mainly rained a lot.
