We’re almost beside ourselves with excitement. It didn’t seem that long ago that the Open Road health team was just a glint in the CEO’s eye, but now we have seven, count them, seven, consultants, a whole bunch of lovely clients and most excitingly, a BIG event next Tuesday morning (12th July) for our clients and friends where we’ll be talking about what the NHS reforms means for the future of healthcare services and communications (easy, right? I’m sure we’ll have it all sewn up in just over an hour).
We’ve got a great panel of speakers. Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell MP, Chair of the Health Select Committee and all-round sage on the Government’s health reforms and Mike Farrar, newly appointed chief executive of the influential NHS Confederation, will be sharing their thoughts on the revised Health and Social Care Bill, how and whether the reforms will work, and what this all means for your friend and ours, Andrew Lansley. Michael White, assistant editor of the Guardian and weekly columnist in the Health Service Journal (essential bedtime reading for the Open Road health team) will be chairing the subsequent Q&A with our guests. Plus, there’ll be croissants (and fruit too, natch. This is a health event, after all).
If you’re already coming along, make sure you tweet about it on our dedicated hashtag #ORhealth. We certainly will be. If you’re not coming but want to (and frankly, who wouldn’t?) just get in touch with us at info@theopen-road.com and hopefully we can squeeze you in. Don’t worry if you miss out though – highlights are going to be posted on this blog after the event. Make sure you tune in.
